You are in the right place my friend. Keep Reading....
Our 2015 expedition is a partnered event with LIVESTRONG. This expedition will take us to Mount Kilimanjaro, located in the east African nation of Tanzania. At 19,341 feet, Mount Kilimanjaro not only represents the highest peak in Africa, but the tallest free standing mountain in the world.
The beauty of Kilimanjaro is that prior climbing experience is not required. This climb is considered non-technical. The physical and emotional attributes needed to summit are based on general physical fitness, endurance, and a strong will to train and succeed. Fortunately, these are many of the same characteristics that you or your loved ones have utilized as cancer survivors.
Chris Warner, the founder and CEO of Earth Treks, will lead our expedition. Chris is one of America's most accomplished mountaineers and guides. He has led over 175 international expeditions, helping teams get to the summits of Everest, K2 and Kilimanjaro. Meet Chris Warner.
Each participant on our expedition is required to raise a minimum of $10,000. The money covers your lodging in Africa, meals, expert guides from Earth Treks Inc., and a generous donation to LIVESTRONG, our event partner who is dedicated to improving the lives of cancer survivors.
